Turkey Cheese Ball

Turkey Cheese Ball

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!  This adorable turkey will be the star of the pre-game table on Thanksgiving Day not only because it’s so cute but it’s also so yummy!

To Make The Turkey Cheese Ball:

Mix together 8 oz package soften cream cheese, ¾ cup drained crushed pineapple, ½ tsp onion powder, ½ tsp garlic powder, pinch of salt, 2 TBL chopped white onion and 2TBL finely chopped green bell pepper (we used a mixer).  Mix well and then roll in 3/4 cup chopped pecans to coat the outsides.  Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and put in fridge to firm up.

To make the turkey head we used a pepperoni stick for his neck, 1 whopper malted milk ball for his head, candy eyes and a candy corn for his beak. We also went all out and cut a strip from a red fruit roll up for his gobbler (or wattle for you turkey experts).  To assemble the pieces together using frosting.

Once the cheese ball is firm, remove it from the fridge and add the assembled turkey head and pretzel sticks to create the tail feathers.

Happy Thanksgiving!
