Stars and Stripes, Sparklers and Firecrackers, Happy 4th of July
This fun and festive tablescape is sure to add excitement to any backyard activities this 4^th of July! The bold colors of Old Glory set the stage for this design.  It’s simple, fun and really easy all at the same time. We used a lot of DIY elements that you can easily whip up in flash!

The table is draped in fabric purchased from JoAnn’s craft store; we loved the simple white stripe and navy blue color which sets the stage for the rest of the table décor. This is a heavier, looser weave fabric that was found in the home décor section. What we love about this fabric is we could fray the ends eliminating the need to hem raw edges. Just throw and go! Also from JoAnn’s we purchased the American flags, large and small. We took the large flags off their stick, gave them a quick press with an iron and they were ready to accent our white placemats from Pier One. The napkins are red and blue bandanas. We tied these with ribbons from Hobby Lobby and for a little after dinner excitement we slipped in boxes of sparklers.

The dinnerware is from Dinner4Two Collection by Kitchen Charm, Spyro and the flatware is Illuminati.

The very fun Paper fan decorations are from Party City. We achieved this fun look by hot gluing smaller fans to the larger, we used two packages of decorative fans.

We made our adorable Ice bucket and you can too!!! The bucket was purchase from Loews hardware store. You will find these in the paint isle. We used white spray paint, Rust-oleum high performance enamel. Then we hot glued our striped ribbon on and added the stars. We cut these with our Cricket Circuit cutter (we used navy vinyl.) If you don’t have anything to cut the stars, just purchases star stickers. Then we accented with some ribbons tied on the handle for additional POP!!

Our eye popping center piece was created by taking florist foam wrapping the sides in red ribbon and hot gluing it to our cake stand.  To make our tall firecracker pics we took skewers and hot glued the firecracker cupcake pics we picked up at Kroger’s grocery store to the skewers. Then we wrapped the skewer in red ribbon. We added them to the florist foam along with the mini flags.
