Make your hunny something special for Valentine’s Day!
Culinary Tools:
- 8” Skillet
- 3 quart Dutch Oven
- 2 quart Combination Unit
- Junior Colander
Ingredients:
- ¼ pound frozen strawberries, whole and unsweetened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 pound fresh strawberries
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate, squares or chips
- White chocolate to garnish (optional)
Procedure:
Preheat the 8” Skillet at medium heat for 3 minutes. Add frozen strawberries and sugar; cover with Redy-cook valve open; keep the same temperature. When the valve whistles, reduce heat to low and let cook for 3 extra minutes. Blend cooked strawberries; save puree.
Place 2 cups water in the 3 quart Dutch Oven. Place the 2 quart Combination Unit over the water and heat at low temperature. Add the chocolate and let it melt completely.
Rinse the fresh strawberries using the Junior Colander; drain them well. Cover strawberries with the chocolate sauce, one at a time, and place them on individual plates. Garnish with the strawberry puree and drizzle with melted chocolate.
