Spring Fizzy Floats
Spring flowers are up everywhere, the sun is finally shining, warmer weather is here and this weekend we get to celebrate everyone’s favorite superhero…MOM! Mother’s Day is one of the biggest gift-buying days of the year, but too many people over think it, spending too much on wilted flowers, melted chocolates and overpriced meals at crowded chain restaurants. If you’re looking to change it up and do a little something different to your honor mom this Mother’s Day try our Spring Fizzy Floats.
There’re bright, delicious and full of yummy colorful goodness. They are the perfect addition to a Mother’s day brunch or a relaxing conversation beverage to sip. Regardless of how you pair them your mom is going to smile from ear to ear and thoroughly enjoy sipping her Spring Fizzy Floats.
We indulged in three different kinds’ ginger ale with pistachio ice cream, Nesbit strawberry soda with strawberry chunk ice cream and Nesbit orange cream soda with orange creamsicle swirl ice cream. You know what your mom likes so surprise her with her favorite flavors.
What makes our Spring Fizzy Floats extra special and takes them to the next level are the special touches we added to each frothy fizzy float glass. We love Washi tape and anytime we have a chance to add it to anything…we do! There’re so many styles to choose from. Believe us; we’ve gone plum Washi tape crazy! We can’t stop collecting these little bundles of fun. By the way you can find them at all craft stores and online.
For out floats we used casual Mason jar mugs and dressed them up by adding a strip of Washi tape to each glass and picked contrasting fun straws. In addition we added Washi tape to the straws and clipped them to create the cute flags.
We think this whole Spring Fizzy Float idea would also be a charming idea for a bridal shower or bridal brunch. It’s the little details that take the ordinary and make them extraordinary.
