Is your microwave due for a good cleaning? Admit it…who likes cleaning their microwave with those awkward hard to reach spaces? You know when you’re super hungry and want to heat those leftovers up super fast because you are starving and you toss the plate in the microwave without putting a paper towel over the food and the next thing you know the inside of the microwave looks like a bombed out war soon.
Try this microwave cleaning hack with lemons…add 2 -3 cups of water and a couple of lemon wedges to a microwave safe bowl and nuke it on high for 2 minutes. Remove the bowl of water; be sure to use pot holders and proceed to wiping down the microwave. The steam from the water will do the heavy lifting for you and loosen anything that is really stuck on. The added bonus is the lemons will fill the room with a fresh lemony scent.

Even if you don’t have lemon or orange peel, heating the water and letting it sit in the microwave for a few minutes will make it easier to clean. It just won’t have the great citrus scent!
