Waterless Steamed Broccoli

Cooking broccoli with Kitchen Charm cookware is simple and fool proof. Not only do you use drastically less water than the traditional method of steaming but you also retain all the nutrients in the vegetable. 

Following a few simple steps you can cook any fresh vegetable in the same manner as this broccoli recipe! When you cook vegetables in Kitchen Charm cookware you’ll use minimum moisture, only a few tablespoons of water, and get perfect results every time.

Although this recipe isn’t completely waterless you’ll use a minimal amount, only a few tablespoons! You can use these same steps for any fresh vegetable in your Kitchen Charm cookware. We love how broccoli tastes just like it’s been steamed but retains all the nutrients instead of leaking them out into a pot of water!

Waterless Steamed Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 Head of Broccoli, Chopped into florets
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Herb Butter

Directions:

After chopping the broccoli season with salt and pepper. Place 2 tablespoons water and broccoli in 8” Kitchen Charm skillet, put the lid on with Redy-cook valve open on medium heat. Wait for the whistle to sound, when it does close the valve, lower the heat to medium low and cook for 3 more minutes. Remove from heat. Optional: Toss with a tablespoon of garlic herb butter for some added flavor. 

Broccoli is a fantastic side dish! Serve it alongside Skillet Steak, Pork with Cherry Glaze or Asian Pork Meatballs.
