Halloween Party Treats

EEK! Spiders…These Halloween party treats are the perfect take along to any Halloween get-together. Who doesn’t love Oreos and then add a smooth coating of Ghirardelli chocolate and you have a frightfully delicious Halloween party treat.

Enjoy the creepy reception these darling arachnids get at your Halloween get-together.

Ingredients

Chocolate Oreos
Black Twizzlers licorice
Pretzel sticks
Ghirardelli chocolate dark melting wafers
Candy eyes

Directions

Melt your candy coating according to package directions. Cut your Twizzlers in desired lengths for legs and then cut them into thin strips. Dip Oreos in melted chocolate; let the extra chocolate drip off, set them aside on wax paper. Before chocolate sets up stick on your legs and add eyes.

If you prefer you can use small pretzel sticks for legs. After you have dipped the Oreos and set them aside; dip your pretzels in the chocolate and adhere to the Oreo.

Helpful Hints: We found our eyes at a bakery supply store. However, we have seen them at Walmart and craft stores in the cake decorating aisle.

The best place to find the Ghirardelli melting wafers is at Walmart. They have never failed us when we needed a bag!
