We mentioned on Thursday on our Facebook page that we were recognized as a 2014 Top Supporting Partner of Brides Against Breast Cancer. We are so excited to be part of such a wonderful organization and hope we can educate our Dinner4Two brides about who BABC is and what they stand for.
Brides Against Breast Cancer is a non-profit organization that contributes to programs for cancer patients and their loved ones in order to ensure that those effected by cancer have the education and resources they need throughout their battle. In 2014, BABC will donate over $2 million dollars to support those individuals who are impacted by cancer. They are currently on a mission to make free Health Support Network programs available to anyone, anywhere through a nationwide online network. Today, the Health Support Network is in the process of producing more than 150 online programs that include exercise, nutrition, meditation, education and caregiver support for impacted individuals.
If you’re looking to join an awesome organization, consider following Dinner4Two in our efforts to support Brides Against Breast Cancer. It’s easy, and there are so many ways to support the cause:
- Volunteer: You can volunteer at one of their Nationwide Tour of Gowns bridal shows, join your local BABC Street Team to promote awareness in your community, or become a City Coordinator and help secure vendors, recruit volunteers and promote events in your city. If you want more information how to become a City Coordinator email Ashely Ritter at aritter@bridesabc.org.
- Text a Donation: Currently, BABC is encouraging people to support their “Say ‘I Do!’” campaign. By texting BRIDES to 85944 you can make a $10 donation from your Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile mobile phones. You much be 18 or older and have authorization of your mobile account holder to donate.
- Donate Your Gown: If you have already said “I do,” like many of our Dinner4Two Brides, consider donation your gown to help BABC’s programs for cancer patients and their families. They are looking for gowns, slips and veils from 2009 until today. Each gown donated is prepared for their Nationwide Tour of Gowns to be sold to support their wellness and education services. If you want to donate your gown, your just need to follow these steps!
We hope you’ll consider joining Dinner4Two in our efforts to support Brides Against Breast Cancer, and give hope and support to those who are impacted by cancer. Ensuring that our impacted brides, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, and all the guests in attendance have the resources they need to battle their way back to a healthy life is something we are proud to support!
